Our organic first-grade Jasmine Yin Hao (Silver Down) green tea is one of the best you’ll find, from the abundance of silver tips to the mellow but intoxicating aroma. Long favored in China, jasmine tea was first introduced to the West in the nineteenth century - and has been popular ever since. Traditionally, the best tea is made from tea leaves harvested in the spring. The leaves are then steamed (to best allow the scent to be absorbed) and stored until August when the jasmine blooms. The jasmine blossoms are layered with the tea and, as the temperature cools, the jasmine blossoms open and infuse the tea with their aroma. This process can be repeated five or six times.

Steeping Instructions: Pour 6 oz. heated water (170-180˚F) over 1 teaspoon tea leaves and steep 2 minutes. Remove leaves and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
