Traditionally, Japanese green teas are steamed to arrest the oxidation of the tea leaf. Our Fukamushi Sencha tea has been steamed 3 times longer than is typical of regular sencha; this results in a much finer, broken tea that brews up darker, greener – and faster. Sweet, grassy, vegetal notes with a buttery roundness and lower bitterness. Resteeps well, and is great for cold brew, too.
Steeping Instructions: Pour 6 oz. heated water (165-175˚F) over 1 teaspoon tea and steep 30-45 seconds. Remove tea and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
