Yunnan loose leaf tea

A rich, savory cup with a very distinctive character sometimes described as malty molasses with peppery notes. A wonderful tea - especially for breakfast.

China's Yunnan Province is considered the birthplace of tea, and it produces more black tea than any other province in the country. Yunnan black tea is made from a distinctive broad-leaf cultivar specific to the region - where you can find China's oldest wild tea tree (about 1700 years old), as well as the oldest cultivated tree (over 800 years).

Steeping Instructions: Pour 6 oz. heated water (208-212˚F) over 1 teaspoon herbs and steep 3-5 minutes. Remove tea leaves and enjoy. Re-steep as desired.
